Since 2005, Shengshan Church has been developed from the Beijing Christian Artists Fellowship. Adhering to the various gifts God has bestowed on the saints, it is committed to the mission of Christian cultural and artistic missionary work, spreading the voice of the Kingdom of Heaven through spiritual literature, contemporary sacred paintings, original sacred music and gospel films and television. As stated in Colossians 1:28: "We proclaim Him, warning and teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ."

Graduating from the Tianjin Conservatory of Music in China and later from the Faith Theological Seminary in New York, he equipped himself with both the spiritual and intellectual tools necessary to serve his community. The premiere of the first Chinese-language original sacred music symphony cantata, "Cristo," in Maryland in 2016 marked a significant milestone in his artistic journey. Subsequent tours in Washington and New York brought his music to ever-wider audiences, enriching lives and deepening spiritual connections.
Beyond the realm of music, Pastor Zhang's dedication to Christian art extended to the visual realm. He spearheaded the first Christian Contemporary Art Exhibition in New York in 2018, laying the foundation for an annual event that would grow in scale and significance with each passing year. From Baltimore to Manhattan, his exhibitions became showcases of faith-inspired creativity, fostering dialogue and reflection within the artistic community. In 2022, Pastor Zhang's vision reached new heights with the inauguration of the International Forum on Christian Art Aesthetics in New York. Gathering scholars, artists, and theologians from around the globe, the forum became a crucible of ideas, sparking innovation and collaboration in the pursuit of artistic excellence rooted in faith.
